This is a one day training conference for Anesthetic Emergencies in the Adult Dental Patient (ACLS Course Review) exclusively for Oral Surgeons and their Staff.
The target audience for the AHA/ECC course of Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) includes physicians, nurses, dentist, Paramedics, EMTs or other licensed healthcare providers who may direct or participate in either hospital or pre-hospital adult cardiovascular resuscitation care. This course focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to the pre, peri, post arrest patient. The course core curriculum is based on the most recent American Heart Association CPR/ECC guidelines. The AHA guidelines are evidence based and contain recommendations designed to improve survival from cardiac arrest and life threatening cardiovascular problems.
Per the AHA, "The ACLS Provider Course does not teach algorithms, ECG rhythm recognition, or pharmacology. If you do not learn and understand the ECG and pharmacology information in the Precourse Self-Assessment, it is unlikely that you can successfully complete the ACLS Provider Course."
If you need additional EKG practice, go to http://cmeeducation.com/ekg.htm and scroll down to the "Materials" section where we have a number of free EKG learning resources for you.
You are required to have the current textbook for this course. If you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class, you do not need to purchase one here. Please choose from the following optional items:
